How to Get to Bratislava

Bratislava is located in the middle of a triangle, tips of which are formed by the cities of Vienna, Budapest and Prague. It is connected with them by a system of highways with an easy and convenient access from all directions.

Arrival by plane:

There are two airports in the vicinity of the city: Vienna International Airport – Schwechat (VIE) is approximately 40 km away from the city center of Bratislava and Bratislava M. R. Stefanik Airport (BTS) which is approximately 9 km away from the city center of Bratislava. An airport shuttle bus runs every hour between the city of Bratislava and Schwechat airport. The price of an one – way ticket is approximately 7, 70 €.

Arriving by car:

  • from Brno/Prague – E65/D2 highway, direction Bratislava, SK
  • from Kosice/Poprad – Tatry/Krakow/Zilina – E75/E58/D1 highway, direction Bratislava, SK
  • from Budapest – E75/E60/M1 highway, direction Bratislava, SK
  • from Vienna/Schwechat airport – A4 highway, then A6/E58, direction Bratislava, SK.

Arrival by train and by bus:

  • the Main Railway Station – 3 km/6 minutes + 10 minutes by walk, take the bus no. X13 and get off at the stop Námestie SNP.
  • the bus stop Mlynské nivy – 2 km, take the bus no. 70 + 5 minutes by walk and get off at the stop Malá scéna.

Place of Conference

 
The conference will be held on the premises of the Comenius University in Bratislava located on Safarikovo namestie 6, which is the principal seat of the Faculty and the University.
 
The plenary session will meet on Friday, October 9th 2015, in the historic Auditorium at Comenius University in Bratislava on Safarikovo namestie in Bratislava, which has a capacity of 600 seats.
 
Meetings of parallel sessions will take place on Friday, October 9th 2015, after the adjournment of plenary session and on Saturday, October 10th 2015, in the representative rooms of the University (Rector’s Hall, Meeting Room of the University Scientific Council) and seminar rooms of the Faculty, all of which are located on Safarikovo namestie in Bratislava.
 
During the month of September the complete conference program will be published on our website, including the allocation of rooms.

Food and Refreshment

The organizers of the conference are happy to provide lunch reception on Friday, October 9th 2015, and on Saturday, October 10th 2015.

Refreshments will be available throughout session meetings during coffee breaks.
 
All conference participants are also invited to attend a gala reception, which will be held on the evening of Friday, October 9th 2015, in the historical building of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic on Zupne namestie in the center of Bratislava.
